As I get older (and start to look it, I guess) people have often asked me, “What are your plans once you get to heaven?” (Nothing impending yet)

And I tell them:

“I am going to gather up all my long-gone dogs (Nisky, Tammy, Ginger, Gin-Gin, Keesha, Mitzi, Acorn, Wilson, Fauna, Charlie, and Liddy) and any other dog or person that wants to go, and head out on a road trip.”

Of course, the universe is a very big place (perhaps the biggest as Douglas Adams has said), with an almost infinite number of fascinating places to see, so it will be a very long road trip. But as I understand it, I will have “all the time in the world,” so to speak.

So, if you arrive in heaven before me, I’ll look you up (if you want) and perhaps you will want to go. If you arrive after me, I plan on sending periodic postcards (or something similar) back to heaven stating where I am and where I am going next. You can catch up if you wish.

But, all this is pure conjecture. From what I understand, heaven may not even exist and if it does, I may not be able to leave.

So I am thinking, why not start the road trip now? I mean, I can see a lot of the universe right from my backyard and I can see even more of it from places close by.

And, since there is no Galactic Positioning System (GPS of the future), I must use a map to guide me and the map is shown below. This map was developed by Pablo Carlos Burdossi and only slightly modified by me to show the places I have visited which are shown in red text on the map.

With that in mind, I have uploaded pictures of the places I have visited. Just click on the link below the map for a close-up view. I hope you enjoy visiting them as much as I have.

Now, I am not sure where I am headed next (I am at the whim of the weather and season and my skills are still very limited). But when I get there, I’ll send more pictures.

Happy Trails!

By the way, I would like to thank my parents for hanging an ancient solar system map on our basement wall so many years ago.
